I'm a new coin collector. I came across this quarter and was hoping if someone can tell me if this is an error or just a beat up coin? Can barely read it. It looks melted. And on the other side liberty is not legible. And the T on in God we trust is missing

To CCF! Just a severely mangled up Quarter unfortunately. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD).

unfortunately, your coin just had a rough life. All PMD (post mint damage). Keep looking!
