As I mentioned my Dansco LMC album (with proof issued coins) has holes for both a 1979-S Type I and a 1979-S type II. Are these considered varieties? .and why would Dansco choose to add this variety and not others? Just seems random and unnecessary.

Edit: I did order one of each off ebay to fill the holes. received the type II yesterday. Assuming the Type I will be here today. Looking forward to comparing the two.

Yes, it is fine.

What is not fine is that they then ignored the two 1981-S varieties which, in my opinion, are just as apparent as the 1979-S varieties.

MM varieties, hey, at least they're cheap! Do you have the 1981 clear S? That's not so cheap.

There isn't a spot in my album for the 1981 clear S.

Yup, as I mentioned above, Dansco omitted it. Not sure why. Yes, it is pricey, but still a lot cheaper than the most expensive wheat cents.
