1945 D Nickel Very Dark In Color Is This An Error

I was wondering g why this nickel is so dark compared to other around the same age ...could it be a planchet error?

From 1942-1945 the mint produced what we call War Nickels .They had 35% silver added to them . Hence the different color . Side note; not all 1942's were a War Nickel ,some were regular Nickels .Not an error.

Thank you for your feed back...i had read an article about possible planchett errors in the 1942 threw 1945 war nickles and just think this nickle is really darker than it should be..here it is again next to a 1942..just confused why this is so dark
