Hi all,
once again I humbly ask your expert insight.

What would you say about this denarius regarding authenticity?
The coin in question was bought from a reputed german dealer. Weight is 3.2 grams. Diameter 18-19 mm.

So far so good... but what do you think about the magnified pictures?

Thanks a lot in avance!

Genuine.
Style OK, edge OK, I don't think it is from Rome Mint.

Looks good to me too. I've owned two of the type. For comparison:

Thanks a lot for your comments!

What made me worry are a few spots which appear under manification, like these ones:

The minting process seemed to me also a bit different to other roman denarius I have.

Thanks again, have a great weekend!

Because there is not many of those tiny raised 'lumps', I suspect that there may be some horn silver, or silver crystallization in those areas.

Google these subjects for more information.

OP's coin could be high pressure cast, but I really don't think so.

Finn235's coin obviously suggests similar die varieties, and I agree with this. If they were exactly the same, I would be suspicious of OP's coin. They are not.
