Hey there so , I have this 1959 no mint penny the looks lighter than every/any penny pretty much e er that I've seen . Also, it is magnetic...
any thoughts?

Looks like it may have been nickel plated which would making slightly magnetic.

Please crop and rotate your photos as per CCF instructions.

It's been artificially plated. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD).

When you say sticks, Compare it with a 1943 steel cent. Your coin is not as attracted as a Steel cent. Just slight magnetic attraction. Nothing like use a magnet on a steel cent.

on the nickel plating. That would make it slightly magnetic.

the magnet picks the coin up and holds it in place with no problems. Not QUITE as much as a 1943 steel, but close.
