Interesting, thanks for the grades. This one as well as the 1997, 1998, and 2006 nickels I uploaded the same day are all from original bank-wrapped rolls. All are Mint State, to my eye MS63 to MS65. Since most of the grades given here for these coins have been lower, it tells me my photos need improvement.

I've since changed the lighting I've been using, then snapped some State Quarter pics. I'll soon post 4 of those for grading.

This is with the new lighting. It's probably not the same coin as posted yesterday, but I pulled one from the same original roll. Under 10x magnification, to the eye the two are equivalent in grade. You can see the difference the lighting makes.

There's an evident obverse scratch in the first image. Is that there, or not?

Coin in hand, all the marks and scratches are less evident than depicted in my photos of yesterday. Use your 10x loupe and you'll see a light mark. The old photos were overemphasizing the marks as evidenced by AU grades people were giving what in hand is an MS coin. Today's photos are a much more accurate representation.

The photos make things look far worse than in hand. MS-65
