I found a '72 S Ike in a batch I was lucky enough to find at the bank. My question is, is there a way to tell the difference between a S silver clad and a S silver clad proof? I am assuming it's not a proof since it was found in circulation.

A proof will still have somewhat mirrored fields and sharp corners on the edges of the rims

Correct.

If you can post a photo, we can probably make the determination.
