Does anyone here have a copy Charlton's WWI Badges catalogue? I'm looking for info on the 91st Infantry Battalion from Elgin County, Ontario.

Please message me.

Thank you, Gene

I don't have the book, would be helpful in the field of collecting cap badges. What I usually do when researching badges I will search the battalion (most of the time Wikipedia will give some info) then look on a site called emedals for the pricing.

Not sure if this helps but it's nice to see a fellow collector

Thanks for the assist @Tlutz. Wikipedia was the only help I've been able to locate so far. There are several photos of the badge on Google but no other references. Also mine has the numbers silvered, not sure if added afterwards or if it signifies special rank (officer vs. enlisted).

Not really a collector (yet?). This item was in a small collection I picked up, paid US $5 for it. Here are photos.

That's a nice badge, the back lugs have been removed and a pin has been soldered in its place. I would say since you can't find another one with the silver numbers and with the modifications on the back that someone "customized" there badge, perhaps put solder on the numbers? Definitely a great buy for $5 WW1 battalion badges are hard to find.
