Looks interesting but I can't get around the fact they slabbed a modern quarter and not the chain cent. The additional photos of a run down building and a sack of old silver coins spilling onto the floor check off a few red flags in my book

I literally laughed at the Maryland State Quarter proof being included in what should be a 6 figure sale. You definitely know what to think

A listing like this has all the makings of a con job. I wouldn't get sucked in. A version of what was found in "grandpa's attic'.

With $6,867.67 on the line and an EBay-guaranteed 30 day return policy, how much of a hassle would it be to get the money back if needed?

Seller looks like a bit of a nut. Yea, why the cheap slabbed coin with the gem? My first thought was fake, but don't know enough about the chain cents. What are the markers?

Apparently the rundown building has nice carpet and electricity according to the photo of the safe with the coins "spilling out". I don't know anything about chain cents either, but my first inclination was that the pitting all over the coin looked odd.

For chain cents of this date and variaty you can match by position of the date, bust and denomination.
