I picked this up for $3-$5 at a coin show a few weeks ago for my silver collection, and for the awesome toning. Today I take a look at it, and oddly, there is a strong split on the 1. What I found weird is there is no signs of splitting anywhere else on the obverse. Extra thickness on IGWT? What do you think?

Looks normal. Still a very nice 90%er though!

With all due respect E&V, did you look at the 1? The splitting is very clear in my opinion. I don't think it's a hit or strike damage, it looks doubled. Could you take another look at my pictures of the 1? Thank you. I appreciate the help.

It looks legit. That coin without the DDO, but with that toning is worth more than you paid.

I agree GC. I thought it was a strong case for a new DDO. Thank you for your repsonse!

It is a minor DDO, but probably won't be listed. Very minor. But at least it isn't MD.

Thanks Mr. Coop. Appreciate the input. Even though it's minor, still a keeper for my collection. Any Doubled Die is better than MD. Especially when it's in this good of condition.

The toning is probably from being in the cello many years. I don't think it was caused heat. Why? Because the location. Note how just the edge on the coin is affected. If it were from heat, I would think the center would be affected. Also the reverse shows a white color. Heat would have altered through the coin.

Nice find! Looks similar to WDDO-002 and WDDO-004, see if you can match die markers.

Looks closer to 002. I'll have to check markers. Thanks @Tanman! I'll get the results once I check for markers.

I see the notches on the 1 now. It's definitely a very minor DDO.
