Uncirculated 2018 5 Piso from the Philippines has a grooves at the edge of the coin which is suppose to be a plain edge coin. What you think is this a genuine error?

The edge style isn't just for 2018. I have a 2017 and a 2018 and both have the edge style pictured for the 2018 above.

It's not an error, but galling - a type of wear. This happens when two metal objects are pressed together (in this case the coin and the collar), then pulled apart with a sliding motion.
