Hi everyone,
I am a novice coin collector and have recently started collecting Lincoln pennies, specifically wheat pennies by year. As I was going through rolls, I came across this penny. It is a 1977 Lincoln Penny with the memorial on the back seeming to be stamped twice with the second time being rotated a little over 180 degrees. If anyone could give me some guidance on what exactly it is I'm looking at, it would be much appreciated. I also wanted to confirm if it is a genuine double die as I'm not knowledgeable enough to say so for myself. Thank you!!

to the community! If it was a true double struck the front of the coin (obverse) would show it too.

You mean someone got glue on it and it caused another penny's back to copy on the coin or someone glued something to the coin? Like I said, really new to collecting so I'm still trying to learn.

Thanks for the information! Never would've guessed that someone gluing Two Cents together and taking them apart would leave the image still on the penny.

Don't feel bad. Many collectors get fooled by a glue job.
