This coin I found a few months back and I know it probably from the 1600s to 1700s or maybe older. But no dates and I found it on Roanoke Island NC which has lots of history. The island is obviously known for the lost colony so who knows also had civil war fought here so lots of history. I found it on the north end of the island which is the area the lost colony settled supposedly.
I don't know maybe someone here will have info because not so much on my other post about my silver/alloy State Quarter so far.
Thanks

That's a great coin to find in the USA!

My 2017 Coin Year Book gives a valuation of £30 in Fine but I can't find any recent auction sales records for the threepence on its own. In the UK many people collect the penny, twopence, threepence and fourpence together as the first 'Maundy Set'.
