I have 1976 2-dollar bills with sequential serial numbers.
Some are only 2 in a row while others are 4 or 5.

Same thing with 1 dollar bills. I have 1 with 2 serial numbers in a row
and I have 2 with 4 serial numbers in a row.

personally I'm not really interesting in serial numbers, but do you think I can maybe sell them for a couple cents over face.

I'd hold onto it, but that's just me...

I usually try to keep all sequential numbers I get out of circulation. I don't know if they will ever be worth anything in my life time but maybe when my kids have kids having some sequential numbers may be worth a little more than if you just had a bunch of bills that weren't sequential

Get a few non PVC holders and keep them.

Now Bonedigger. Nice serial number. Did you take that picture AFTER you shot the poor thing?

What's a PVC holder exactly and why does he not want one?

Just curious cause I bought some paper money displaying sheets of unknown origin, and they might disintegrate my bills or something.

Also, don't keep any of them, unless they REALLY tickle your fancy. Not gonna be worth much in any of our lifetimes.

CU (Crisp Uncirculated) 1976 notes already carry a premium actually.

NON PVC is just like in coins. Guess I should have said "archival safe".

A dealer will know what you mean if asked. Certain holders can really tear up a note or coins. Spending a bit more can save a lot of heartache in the long run.

As for paper money NOT being worth anything in our lifetimes think again.
As a die hard coin collector AND paper collector believe me, there is a lot of valuable paper money to be found in circulation.

There are also a lot of variables to know when searching. The key, as always, is knowing what to look for.
