It's the coin that "started it all"

Put the flip in a hard clear acetate plastic (totally inert to coins), sleeve. The reason to do this is because the high points on the coin are still exposed to damage through the very thin clear Mylar circular window.
A sleeve to protect the flip can be made by cutting a 2.5 inch double rectangle from a food container. This material can be readily obtained from a suitable food container commonly found in any supermarket.
This superior coin really does need added protection; it would be a shame to see any high points in the design accidentally flattened, even with a minor impact.

Super nice coin. I agree with the added protection. I had some nice Morgan's that got carbon spots on them while they were in 2x2s.

Nice coin. I agree with sel_69l. If you are willing to take it out of the 2x2,I recommend using an Air-Tite holder. John1

Great input everyone! When I saw this coin, I was amazed that something from the 19th century could have survived in such great condition and be that appealing to the eye. I will take it out of the 2x2 and put it in an Air-Tite. And yes...I'm aware that 81-S is one of the most common dates among Morgan's. I have another in a ms-66 slab, but this one is infinitely more valuable to me.
