I had never seen anything like it before nor can I find anything like it online it might be because I don't know the correct way to describe what I'm seeing. so heres a couple pics to help with my loss for words. thanks in advance for any info

To CCF! That is called Die Deterioration. It happens when the die starts to age and slowly breaks down everytime it strikes a coin. The reverse die was in a Very Late Die State, when it struck your coin. There's no premium for this, but it's worth saving in a 2x2 for educational purposes. http://goccf.com/t/325638

So what you're saying is its one OF a million not one IN a million & I still have to go to work on Monday LOL that's fine I have a container full of questionables that I've been setting aside and wrapping individually just in case one of them turned out to be worth something I'd hate to degrade the value due to clinking up against other coins. I know I do have one legit one but it's nothing fancy just a "BIE" penny. But thanks for the info I've learned quite a bit about this little Hobby the one thing I've learned most is I don't know much LOL

I have a 2017 District of Columbia State Quarter that has some unusual markings. I don't have a good picture right now but I'll give you a brief description tell me if any of them sound familiar if you would please because I can't find anything on it. In the date "2017" the "1" was stamped on top of a sideways, lowercase, letter "i" & then on the obverse in the center of the base of Washington's bust, (left of the engravers initials) there is the bottom portion of possibly the letter "T" or "I". All I know is, that it is a part of a letter & it is not supposed to be there. I just don't know how or why. I'll try to get a good picture of it tomorrow & upload it

Thank You, this coin hunting has taken Hold On Me. I thought he was poking fun at me the other day because I was sifting around through the "take one leave one" penny container on the counter next to the register LOL

E&V is correct about Die Deterioration. Those "wrinkles" you referenced are called "die flow lines." The planchets slowly erode the die as they're being struck. The flow lines are caused by the planchet's metal flowing radially outward during the strike.
