Well, it was not a complete loss, there was one 1964 error protected by other coins, and in decent condition. Struck slightly off-centre, tilted in collar. A handful of other errors, however were ruined...

This is Canada... 1-cent coins haven't circulated here since 2012... I just took them to the bank, then sent to the Bank of Canada, then to the mint, where'll they'll disappear forever...
