No listings for Variety vista for that year/mint.

Coop, thank you for the links. I note on Variety Vista it states in "about the author" that you can send in photos to Dr. Wiles (an email address is provided). Would this be a reasonable thing to do with this 1984 coin, since nothing is listed for that year?

I see no doubling on your coin. Just circulation flattening. Both sites offer this service. I've recommended this at times to send an image. But on your coin there is no need.
