Was the reverse die hub that was used with the VDB and SVDB the same? I'm used to seeing the VDB on the S-mint coins and I always look for the middle cross bar on the "B" to slant down to the right. I don't see that on this coin. Since Philadelphia created all the dies in 1909 (I think) there should be only one hub, therefore all dies should look the same. Did I get it wrong? The VDB on the Philly cents does not need to be the slanted type. That only applies to the San Francisco mint. I don't know where you are getting the idea that all dies should be the same and that only one hub was used. I have not heard that before. Report this Post to the Staff
