Does anyone know the significance in this stamp on a 1941 Jefferson? Thanks

Metalman; I was thinking that as well, but what does 1932 have to do with 1941 which the nickel is? I did a search and that's all that would make it real.

How cryptic...it doesn't seem intended for tourists or collectors.

Perhaps it was a way to keep track of money for one dedicated use--military perhaps?

I don't know why but for some reason it reminds me of the coding stamped on the bottom of ammunition.
