Hello, I have a 1985 D penny that the L in Liberty is very faint. What do you all think?

You can just barely see the outline of the L.
Looks like a Grease Filled Die.

That makes sense, the penny is in surprisingly good condition as it has been sitting on top of a shelf for at least the last 25 years. Found it while remodeling.

Note what is there. The base of that device is their. That tells it is a Struck Through Grease error. Not a biggie, but it is an eduactional piece as it show how a near fill device would look like. Unlike a damage device as there are not metal movement. Wide, so it is not a die polishing error. It makes a clear that it is a grease error.
