Trail Dies Again - This Time The 1965 5-Cent

SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10458 Posts	Posted 03/17/2019 12:28 am I suspect this die polishing phenomena in one that folks have not really looked for in Canadian coins much... This is a business strike 1965 5-cent. The die trails are coming off the obverse legend devices. 1965 is the first year for this effigy of the Queen. It certainly lends a bit of support that proof-like dies were polished (and replated?) for business strike production.
