That's funny!
You know what you are talking about from your point of
view! I know from my point of view.

Fact for me is that I have no issues finding sellers of
items I like to buy on ebay. You can't twist your view
to change that! LOL!

I don't want to deal with sellers that feel retaliatory
feedback should be the deal. No matter how "upstanding"
you see these folks, they are not for me. Good riddance.

Btw: Do YOU run your own successful business in the real
world? Tell me I don't know what I am talking about...

EDIT:
I own a commercial/industrial construction outfit.
My customer base is HARD to keep happy compared to
ebay buyers. My customers are always right, and
always happy.

and the ones that leave are the ones that can't hack it, IMO

Just because you put "IMO" after it doesn't make it an opinion. Your stating a "fact" that is tremendously incorrect. Censoring sellers is wrong and a TON of them are leaving on principal, not because they "can't hack it" as you say. As I said, with a little education, you would know that.

If you're OK with being silenced by Big Brother ebay and prefer not to stand up for your rights, then be a sheep. Tons of sellers are stepping up and saying enough is enough, they're standing up for themselves. Good for them.

Sellers have been leaving for years. ebay just doesn't understand that sellers are their customers. They obviously don't need to kiss their butt, you know I'm all for ridding ebay of the slime, but they do need to show some respect. You say you treat your customers right and that's good. ebay has been disrespecting their customers (sellers) and look what's happening.

I can't force you to understand any of this and I'm done trying.

I couldn't agree more...

but the buyers
won't go there!

I have not bought on ebay since that fateful day of May 19th (it has been great), and I know of many others who have been equally successful as buyers (if not more so) on the the other sites. ratio411, I really don't understand where you are getting your "numbers" and "stats". Just look at the stock slide for ebay that scubu showed you...those are the REAL numbers.

You do know what "IMO" means, right? Someone stated that, in their opinion, ebay sellers cannot hack it; you pronounce it fact and then call it incorrect and not factual. There's a logical fallacy in there.

Steamwalker,
I notice that the "pro seller" side quite often comments
from a place of emotion, as opposed to logic.

I am getting out of this argument now, because I don't
want the emotion "hate" to smudge my reputation with
some of the board members on that half of the argument.
When I start feeling offended personally by emotional
statements, as I did earlier today... It is time to step
back.

I am done.
It's like the entire U.S. is right now... 50% Dem and
50% Republican. We're split, we're dug in, and we're never
going to change each other's minds.

The only fallacy is society brainwashing people into thinking opinions can't be wrong. They certain can, and very often are.

You're "opinion" that sellers that are leaving can't hack it is in a lot of sellers cases just wrong. Plain and simple.

To generalize like that and paint all seller that leave like this....

There will always be sellers there, and the ones that leave
are the ones that can't hack it IMO.

is nothing but sheer ignorance of the issues at hand.

Wow! I bow out of the thread on a neutral note, for
the sake of good relations, and I am still being cast
as "ignorant"!

Ignorant just means you don't know any better. Just like I am ignorant when it comes to industrial construction, you are ignorant as to why sellers have been leaving ebay. Don't take it personally.

there is a way it deals with non payment of the item sold.with how super slow the postal sys is any more.i not kidding on this.some one paid for a item I sold him and the postal sys took 2 weeks to deleave that payment by mail.what made it so bad I live in il.and the person lived in iowa.i could drive it in 4 hours!they took 2 weeks.i check the postal date mark.and watch out some times some one pays for there items on paypal and ebay does NOT pick this up.i email the guy and found out he paid by paypal a week before. don't trust ebay for letting you know about payment from paypal.this could get you in trouble for not sending it out right away.
