Thats a nice double clip!

It looks legit to me and the coin itself is in decent shape. There aren't too many ways to make '64-D nickels interesting, but that's one of them.

Looks like the coin was damaged by being dropped. Thus the widened edge on the last image tells me this happened. (Left side of the clip.

That is a good one, lots of clips on all denominations in 1964 due to the huge mintages. Pretty amazing that such an obvious error could spend over 50 years in circulation.
