Received the PCGS PR69DCAM graded Apollo Half Eagle that I purchased at MUCH less than the raw coin Mint Issue Price the other day

I was a bit surprised to see that the PCGS slab it came in was a normal thickness slab

The Apollo coin has the same diameter and thickness specs as the 2014 Baseball HOF Half Eagle and those coins were slabbed in the thicker PCGS holders.

Has anyone received an Apollo Half Eagle in the thicker PCGS slabs? or has PCGS decided the thicker slab isn't really necessary for curved Half Eagle coins?

With the baseball ones there wasn't a choice for PCGS when those first came out. At the time PCGS was using the old thin style holder with the Dupont stickers. I do remember that their seemed to be a lot of extra room with the half for the thicker holders and I would think they were deemed unnecessary for the halfs with the current holder.
