I have a couple straight graded PF-69 ASEs that appear to have tiny planchet flaws, discernible to the naked eye. One is PCGS and one is NGC and both are straight graded. Is this the norm? I would post pics, but with my photo equipment it's difficult to tell if they are nicks or planchet flaws. Maybe they are nicks, but they look more like tiny planchet flaws in the fields to me.

Impossible to say for those without knowing what exactly it is.

In general small errors can get straight graded but will usually lower the grade if submitted normally. To get errors labeled you have to use the error service and if the error is bad enough it may even be a details coin if it's not submitted as an error

I don't consider a planchet flaw an error, but rather a defect.
