A friend dug this up years ago in an old part of town. Its double sided, same image on each side. Nearly 1/4 inch thick. Located in southern Ohio in a town that can date back to the 1700s. Any help appreciated.

Look at the edge. Can you see two small holes both top and bottom? I believe it to be a seal because I am now scrabbling through old boxes looking for one that is very similar.

Mine has the two holes top and bottom with what looks like the remains of fibre (string?) in them, making me think it's a seal. But I'm an ocean away from you, so what kind of organisation would have used such big and important seals? I'm thinking that it must be the Church.
