I am trying to look at the centers of the letters and numbers to discover doubled dies. I think the doubled dies on the coin are the 985 on the date, the r in liberty, possible god, on obverse; and the o and possibly the n in the word one on the reverse. I want to know if I'm on the right track, or what I am missing in my observation. Any help is truly appreciated.

I check variety vista and not listing for a DDO or DDR of the year and mint mark. Wexler has one obverse die listed and one reverse die listed:

But I think what you are seeing on the tops of the devices is coin rub making it look altered a bit. Note no devices are really enlarged, just affected on the tops of the devices. You could save it for a while to see if there is something new that we don't know about yet. But that is what I'm seeing on your coin.

Thank you both for your input. I'm trying to see if I'm making any progress checking the centers of the "devices" (I hope that's the proper term). I really appreciate your time and trouble. I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks.
