The mark on the 10:00 area of the '9' on the date: (Note white arrows) Although this is a Denver mint coin, the first thing I looked at was the shape of the '9'. With that strange curve there, I knew it was a DDO, but not a match to any of these as the images above are of the Philly DDOs. The second clue for me was the location of the mint mark: It matches the 1972-D DD)-004 location. So it is a match to that. If this were a Philly coin, then you would have to look for the actually doubling to match, but the mint mark is a short cut on these Denver coins. Congratulations.
