2014 Lincoln Cent - Is This A Counterfeit/Fake Coin?

Slcoy227 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 03/30/2019 11:12 am Hi everyone. I'm Stephanie and I purchased a jewelry box with this penny in it. Did someone make this or alter it to look like this? I know a little about coins but not much. I thought it was missing a clad layer but if you look closely, you can see a copper core at either end. My scale is not great but sometimes it says 2.3 grams and sometimes 2.5.....Can anyone tell me if this is a real coin and what is going on with it? * Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title.
