I am new to this forum, and I was wondering if anyone would know about this campaign coin that my family has. It is an 1832 Andrew Jackson campaign coin. The coin reads: I take the Responsiblity. Which I have found, is the responsibility of breaking the National bank. Hopefully, someone could share some information about it. Thanks in advance for the information and your time.
Rest in Peace

Welcome mrshoosier! I will search and see what I can find out. It sounds like his opponents campaign slogan! By the way, there are a lot of "Hoosiers" on this forum, myself included. Did you hail from Indiana? I see you live in PA. now! Mike

Check out this link. It was created off of a Google search using the Google search button to the left of this post. If you need to use it, switch it to "web" to do an external search!

I'm from PA and always have been. My name mrshoosier came from some other antique dealers. I bought, sold, and refurbished hoosier and hoosier style cabinets. So, I became "mrshoosier". (hoosier cabinets originated from Indiana).

Hello and welcome to our family!

There are a number of Hard Times Tokens that have Jackson on the obverse in a chest with the words I TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY. There is also one with this as a reverse. Could you please post a pictures of both sides and whether it appears it is made of copper or brass? This will help to narrow it down.
