Lately at work opening up both bank rolls and regular rolls of pennies and they are mostly very corroded. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw rolls of brand new cents. But these things are butt ugly and really should be pulled from circulation.

I get rolls like that sometimes too. They're very grey and covered in a white substance that I can only assume is from zinc rot. I always feel bad giving them back in change they're so gross. My fingers are very dirty after handling them

Sometimes people will roll back up the zinc rotted coins only to get money for them.
