Grocery Store Service Desk Finds

I stop by the service desk at my local grocery whenever we go shopping, partly to buy a lotto ticket and since I can also pass by the CoinStar machine on the way. I always ask for foreign or odd coins and they usually have some Golden Dollars, a couple halves and occasionally Canadian, Euro or other foreign coins.

Most of the time it is pretty benign. I take whatever they have and they are happy to get rid of them. The junk coins get recycled into my chum bucket and eventually make it back into circulation to the CoinStar but I save the Canadian and foreign stuff. Usually they don't charge me for the foreign stuff but I always offer.

Today I was sold 3 Kennedy halves that look like they were a collection dump, all were sharp AU with shiny edges and few bag marks, one each of 2006-D, 2006-P and 2007-P.

While not valuable they were definitely keepers and will end up in my NIFC book.
