Anyone care to give an opinion.
It was sold to me as a 'Fine'... I believe it makes
that easily, and if I could get you a better pic, it
might just upgrade a bit.

The "Liberty" is complete and relatively strong.
The ear of corn on the right side, reverse, still
has the kernels.

Anyone that knows about TPGs:

Is there any reason this coin would come back in a body
bag, or with a problem label?

I don't know that this is the type of coin you get slabbed
but if folks slab State Quarters, it seems like a candidate
to me... What do you think?

I prefer PCGS, but have only bought second hand. I have never
sent anything in. Personally, I'd rather have the coin come
back in a problem free slab, or just send it back. I don't
care for the ANACS red labels or the "Details" grade.

Opinions?

VF20. Looks original and problem free. PCGS would be my choice. I always judge weather a coins value warrants the submission. I usually PCGS any coin at least $150 or more in value.

I say leave it raw, it looks like it's worth only about $40. Nice pick up, though.

Yeah, I realize it's probably more than it's worth to
slab it. I was thinking it would be nice to do on such
an old coin that has "honest" circulation. Something I
could pass to a grandkid one day or something.

That's saying something too, I usually turn most of my
coins over within a few years for whatever reasons...
Not too many that I think about 'long term'.

I'd say send it to ANACS then. I believe $16 to slab. PCGS is $30. That way, you are protecting the coin long term. It is a nice looking coin and a CC. CC's are always nice to have.
