Hi Everyone, recently picked up this 1858 5 cent for about 20 bucks at an european auction. Was wondering if it was the large date or small date, and how could one tell?
Would appreciate any insight.
Many Thanks.

Small Date.
For me the easiest way to tell is by the 5.
On a Small Date, the stroke is short and points upward.
On a Large Date, the stroke is longer and lays flat.

Edit:
Correct typo
