If you use 2x2 flips to hold any of your coins what do you use to mark and what do you write on these flips? It could be a the grade in Pencil, the date and MM in Black or Blue pen, and maybe the diagnostics or variety in a special colored magic marker.
What do you use and what information do you put on them?
Take Care Ben

My collecting focus is on (mostly modern) US coins that are stored in regular Dansco albums for a particular series. I do have a few Dansco albums with 12-pocket pages holding cardboard 2x2s. The majority of these spaces are occupied by the dark side coins that I have acquired over the years. That said, I write the country name, denomination, and date on them using an Extra Fine Point or an Ultra Fine Point SharpieŽ.

I do not write on 2x2s. Even when I buy a coin in a 2x2 and there's something written on it I *must* replace it with a clean one.

OOPS, forgot to say what I put on the flips when I use them. My grade in pen, Date in pen, and Variety in pen.

I mainly deal in currency, but do have a few coins in 2x2s.
I use a good gel pen.
Works for me!

I always use black ball point pen to mark on my 2x2's
it depends ,,if I purchased the coin for resale I write the date ,grade and a code for what I paid and when (date)
If the coin is one that will be in my collection date grade and attribution ID numbers (usually krause numbers)
the value of the coin and date of purchase are then placed in the ledger instead of on the holder .
this is only for coins which I leave in 2x2's .
most are put in airtites but some of the circulated grades I leave in 2x2's.

My favourite parts are the strategically placed liquor bottle, the hand-swipe during the description of the "re-grading" process, and the "dropped coin" at the end of the second video.

Oh ! And by the way..... Black ball point pen.... I prefer NOT to put the "grade" or "value" there though. But, all other necessary I.D. goes on it.
