Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 04/08/2019 2:19 pm For the life of me I cannot figure out why someone would copper plate a completely nothing of a 1972 D LMC. I have seen gold plated coins, silver plated coins and copper plated 1943 steel cents. This one is a first time to see a copper plated copper cent. Its weight is 3.07 grams. I too for the life of me can't fathom why they'd plate it. Could have been some kids goofing off in science class.
