Are you sure that the mintmark isn't damaged?

Best I could do Grapes, it just shows a little extra thickness, no separation or MD. David, I definitely took a hard look at that possibility of the mint mark being damaged and if it is it follows a perfect curvature at the bottom like pic 4 shows. It isn't flattened in the center of the devise like most zinc rot cents we see. I am perplexed because I haven't seen this before on a cent after 1989.  One thing about it, its either something or nothing!

Is there extra thickness on the other devices? Maybe notching?

There is no notching on any other devise. This has to be MD but it's the most perplexing one that I have seen.
