1964 & 1964-D Same Counterstamps

Found both of these in a $25 box this week. Usually the counter stamps are stamped into the obverse of the cent. Both of these are raised on Abe's shoulder. Looking at the reverse shows a strong dent where the stamp was done.

Nice counterstamp finds! Pretty odd that they were found together from a box.

Nice find. Amazing they were both found in the same box. I wonder if someone dumped a bunch. If I were to kick the bucket there'd be several hundred similar counter stamps that I make dumped all at once I'm sure. I like putting them into circulation. Spending them or dropping them all over an amusement park or similar place. But not in one big dump. There's no fun in that.
