Hi - I am just wondering if someone can help with a better idea of what the token or coin is in the pictures attached. I think that it may be a type of Japanese wedding favor given to guests but not sure.
It purports to be a Chinese silver "boat" sycee. Quite a collector's piece, so there are so shortages of fakes about. Yous is most likely a replica; genuine pieces were cast and are usually quite porous.
It could be a sort of trinket not intended to deceive - maybe someone can read the inscriptions?
