Pulled this from a box the other day. Pictures make it look a lot more bright/static. Pretty weird color. Might of even had slight doubling on the back with the stocks at one time.

Looks like a Woody from an Improper Alloy Mix issue.

The color makes it look like it was cleaned. Don't clean it again. It would probably turn pink.

Errers and Varietys: Yea, I was thinking the same thing. It's spreading on the edges. I'll watch it over the years and see how it changes.

Coop: lol I didn't clean it. I found it. I have 2 blue 59's too. But this one, at one point in time could of been cleaned to give it this weird color, or its in the metal. It still has some luster and changes colors when I rotate the coin.

Well the luster is not original finish as the coin wear on the bust is showing that the original surface is long gone. (when coins are cleaned with an acidic or a jewelry cleaner, it removes the original layer of the coin. After several of these dipping, the the coin has not original luster. Just the new finish created by the removal of the layers. Thus a cleaned coin eventually turns dull in color because the lister was removed from the coin on the outside layer of the coin. So I know you may have not cleaned it, but someone else did several years back.

Right, lots of wear here - has sharpness of VF-20 or so. Nasty customer.
