I attended the South Shore Coin Club show in Milwaukee, WI yesterday. While talking to a dealer I've known for years the other gentlemen at the booth started talking to me about ANA membership.

I'd considered this in the past, but had never joined. It turns out that he and his wife were manning the ANA table at the show, hence the sales pitch. He told me there was a $10 membership discount if you joined at the show, so I went over and signed up.

I'd be interested in hearing from other CCF members about what you get out of your ANA memberships. I have read through the brochure I was given, but would appreciate what others have to share.

Thanks.

Outside of the ability to submit currency directly to PMG, I don't make use of the ANA's extensive services. But I think it's important to support the hobby in general, and this is a good way to do it.

Good on you...

I joined in 1973 - and trust me, the Junior membership was a lot of money to me back then.
I upgraded to LM once I had a real job and was a little more stable

I love the magazine even though I'm behind.
I occasionally use the NGC submitter account.
I've borrowed one incredibly hard to find book from the library
I loved the museum - I arranged my entire trip from WA to TX to pass through Colorado Springs on a weekday so I could visit.

I'm young and too lazy to pay for a premium NGC or PCGS membership, so I'll get it that way. I also use the online library for reference and reading.

I've looked into it and figured for me, not worth it. Only due to being old and never selling coins nor sending anything for slabbing. I'm just a collector of coins so to many other items just not for me.
