Sorting and labeling a stack of E & V coins I've been pulling from circulated wheats and general whatnot. This 1949-S is an EDS example (has the die crack lower right wheat), and shows both extra S's fairly well. But this is one of those where the secondary S actually gets stronger looking as the die ages, and these early die examples are pretty soft looking although the only ones that show all three S's.

Those are not die chips with separation to the west.
Those would be the the upper curve and lower serif.

Nice variety TB.
