Definitely a DDR for sure. Not sure why he said it was Machine Doubling though.

I found 15 DDR-002 in a bag. There was 2 other rev dies that had doubling on the 1st 2nd 3rd & 1st 2nd 3rd & 5th feather down from the feet. Not as pronounced as the others but it wasn't m d. Can't get my camera to work right now.

@Cujohn,

Bummer! And speaking of equipment malfunctions, my scale only allows me to weigh in OZ

I am glad I have a backup scale.

Good luck in getting your camera to work. Sounds like you got a nice/new variety.

HI, I looked at Wiles listings and also found the same one that you have posted. It looks like a DDR to me.Cool find! Does yours have a die chip under the top feather of the bird too? Thanks

Thanks for responing Notmyname.
EDIT: and to CCF!
I never noticed that. In the 3rd pic, a full reverse, it does show that die chip.

I will say that the one posted here does not match Variety Vista DDR-001 or DDR-002.

But thanks for responding... I just went through all of my Block Island quarters that I set aside and found a new variety... will post in 15 min.

Did you find this coin in a OBW roll, or just a circulation find? If it is a roll find, then there should be more examples from the same roll. There should be more examples in your area, if not it maybe a damaged. So if you could find an exact example, then you could show there are more like it. If not, he could be correct. A die variety would have more than on example.

@coop,

I have 17 of these in BU, but can't remember of they were in an original bank roll of Block Island Quarters.
