Quote: I would go with ANACS not ICG. Quote: I would avoid ICG,and use PCGS or NGC. Quote: Agree, ICG is a total waste of money. To late!

Everyone is entitled to their preference to TPG. My favorite in order is PCGS-NGC-ANACS and no others with the exception of CAC. John1

Looks good too me what is it? is it graded wrong or is the holder gonna make the coin deteriorate I dont get it whats wrong with it please explain in full detail why everyone is saying go with anacs when they send you holders that are split and will not last or is it just the name anacs well ill tell you anacs to me has not been good since it was just ANA to me anacs is a waste of money I want my coin in a holder that wont split and graded properly so you waste your money there ill spend the $10 a coin for cheaper coins at icg and better coins NGC and not worry about the holder being split

thank you John1 I agree everyone has their own prefrence of grading companies but to tell some one your wasting your money its one thing if its a no name co but ICG is one of the top so its just as much to waste your money at anacs as it is at ICG only way you will get the right premium on a coin is PCGS or NGC other then that its just a coin in a Holder

It's a member of the big 4. They go in this order from best to prespective worst. PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG. The fifth used to be ANA grading and they were over ICG, but since they left the scene it's left to just those 4. PCGS and NGC are juggernaut companies with huge names and reps to them. With premium slabs and services they top the industry. ANACS and ICG slabs are inconsistant. They can come back grades apart, leaving the option to resubmit coins for higher grades. ANACS has an amazing variaty department and has the best out of any TPG making it a favourite of mine for certian variaties I may send in. Though I have my compaints with both. Neither ICG or ANACS slabs have any eye appeal. The ANACS slab being able to be read from above is a bonus, but it otherwise looks a bid drab. Both ANACS and ICG have lower clarity plastics then PCGS or NGC and have a clouded appearance. For the slabs, not having edge view is a big downer for ME personally. Plus the ICG coins I own, and many ANACS coins, I feel the slab can obstruct the coin, making it harder to view and even covering some parts to their structure.
