Hey guys what are your thoughts on this 1918 S Mercury dime? It appears to have a D instead of a B in LIBERTY. It does not appear that it is missing due to wear as the rim is still in tact and the corner of the head is as well. Could half of the B missed or been blocked?

/e I had some of the wrong pictures posted

Tbe "B" of "LIBERTY" has been worn off because of 101 years of normal circulation wear and tear. Can't be an error, because it's not how the minting process works.
