2018 D Roosevelt Dime Unknown Error

Quin36 Valued Member United States 208 Posts	Posted 04/17/2019 12:25 pm A few weeks ago I picked up a box of dimes. I was pretty disappointed when I learned they were all brand new 2018 D, all of them. Someone told me to take them all back, but I figured I would look through them anyway. Again, these are all brand new uncirculated. At the bottom of the coin I see a ribbon to the left and an arrow pointing to the date. There is also a gash on Roosevelt's mouth. Thoughts? Discussion? Big-Kingdom Pillar of the Community United States 1667 Posts	Posted 04/17/2019 12:50 pm I think it looks like part of a 8 and not a ribbon and a small house, and not an arrow. It's not that it's an illusion, it's like clouds, we see something and our mind relates the shape of the cloud to something else we've seen like a rabbit or a tree, not saying that you don't see it or it's not there, just saying it's not an error or something that adds additional value. it would need to be a bit more than a light mark on the surface of the coin that's visible at the right angle. Just being honest and not trying to be harsh, it is what it is. can you post a picture without he magnification please, to see how visible it is normally? Report this Post to the Staff
