In this series of Titus with the pulvinar and the triangular frame different numbers of palmettes appear on the reverse. It can be 3, 5, or 9. This one has 5. However, this coin comes in 2 sub varieties, with the lituus under the frame and without. As you can see there is a lituus under the frame. A friend has one of these and contacted Ted Buttrey. This coin has been assigned 124A in the upcoming addenda to RIC II. All of the lituus varieties are rarer than the non lituus varieties. This variety with a lituus and five palmettes is not in the current RIC volume.
I also have the lituus variety for the 9 palmettes version. Also, I have the non lituus and lituus varieties for Domitian.
