So I haven't been on this forum in more than a few years. I stopped collecting. I've decided to get back into collecting and I'm really excited! No more price gouging NCLTs.

I've decided to go back to basics and start a PL/SP/PR collection.

I know early PL/SP collections are hard to distinguish but what year did SP start diverging from the PL in terms of radial lines starting to appear?!

1996 I believe is the first year , the coins look like specimen strikes. with the finish you mentioned.

1996 and 1997 are the only years in which PL sets and SP sets contained the same coins.

Ive already started collecting PL coins. I just came to the realization I have no idea whether these coins are SP/PL.

I opened random flips and just slotted them in because they looked pretty. Guess I have to restart this section. Sadly lol -_-

(I went back to old threads with debate about what is SP/PL and seems you can't really tell unless you're an expert or know if it came in the pliofilm or not)
