Ive read some terrible reviews on The Kennedy Mint! My guess is that most of the coins on the "Obsolete" display are polished. This nickel caught my eye bc of the big divot pictured. Is that a mint error? I'm guessing the nickel is plated bc of the fact that there are no visible steps and bc of the super shiny surface. Id like to post a few more coins out of this set but I'm out of time! As a set it's kind of junky bc of the polished coins so I was thinking of cracking open some of these cases to use the coins as book fillers if anyone could please tell me the best way to go about opening them! Thank you.

Definitely has been plated. That ding on the reverse is probably just Post Strike Damage ( PSD).
